SUMMARY:“The Literary Work of Dimitrios I. Polemis”
DESCRIPTION:As part of the 11th International Andros Festival\, on Tuesday 5th August 2025 at 9:00 PM Kaireios Library is organising an event to commemorate its founder\, Dimitrios I. Polemis\, on the occasion of 20 years since his death. The event will begin with a greeting by scholar Michael A. Tiverios\, President of the Academy of Athens and Vice-President of Kaireios Library. \nGiorgos Kehagioglou\, Professor Emeritus at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki\, will then give a talk on the topic: “The Literary Work of Dimitrios I. Polemis”. There will also be a film screening about Dimitrios I. Polemis\, directed by Georgios Dampasis. \nThe event will close with the mixed choir of Andros’ Music Association\, which will perform musical works of Greek composers under the direction of Amalia Tiniakou. \nFree admission \n
