DESCRIPTION:Stavros Lantsias presents his latest\, long-awaited album release “My Ennio Morricone”.\n\nWidely acclaimed Cypriot pianist and composer Stavros Lantsias opens a window into the musical universe of his beloved composer Ennio Morricone. He presents Morricone’s unforgettable melodies\, which have accompanied emblematic films such as Cinema Paradiso\, Once Upon a Time in the West and many more\, through unique arrangements and inspiring performances by charismatic soloists. An evening filled with images and emotion; including film references and interview excerpts of the great composer.\n\n\n\nIn one of his reviews\, Giorgos Haronitis states: Stavros Lantsias Quartet’s album “My Ennio Morricone” is the ALBUM OF THE YEAR for me.\nFrench magazine PARIS MOVE calls the album “a true masterpiece” (Un authentique coup de Maître).\n\nA first sample of Stavros Lantsias’ work on Ennio Morricone’s music was presented at The Athens Concert Hall on 1st October 2022\, at the premiere screening of the documentary about Morricone’s life\, directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. It was followed by sold-out concerts at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation\, Literary Society Parnassos\, Radio City of Thessaloniki\, Nicosia & Lemesos International Festivals in Cyprus\, and Half Note Jazz Club in Athens. In summer 2023\, album recording Stavros Lantsias Quartet “My Ennio Morricone” was completed with the permission of Morricone’s family.\n\n\n\nStavros Lantsias studied in Berklee College of Music in Boston and has collaborated with numerous renowned Greek artists such as Dionysis Savvopoulos\, Elli Paspala\, Alkinoos Ioannidis\, Orfeas Peridis\, Eleni Karaindrou\, Nikos Ksidakis and many more. He presented his compositions for the first time with the band “Human Touch”\, which he created with acclaimed musicians Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and David Lynch.
