Widely acclaimed Cypriot pianist and composer Stavros Lantsias opens a window into the musical universe of his beloved composer Ennio Morricone. He presents Morricone\u2019s unforgettable melodies, which have accompanied emblematic films such as Cinema Paradiso, Once Upon a Time in the West and many more, through unique arrangements and inspiring performances by charismatic soloists. An evening filled with images and emotion; including film references and interview excerpts of the great composer.<\/div>\n

In one of his reviews, Giorgos Haronitis states: Stavros Lantsias Quartet\u2019s album \u201cMy Ennio Morricone\u201d is the ALBUM OF THE YEAR for me.<\/div>\n
French magazine PARIS MOVE calls the album \u201ca true masterpiece\u201d (Un authentique coup de Ma\u00eetre).<\/div>\n

\"STAVROSA first sample of Stavros Lantsias\u2019 work on Ennio Morricone\u2019s music was presented at The Athens Concert Hall on 1st October 2022, at the premiere screening of the documentary about Morricone\u2019s life, directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. It was followed by sold-out concerts at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, Literary Society Parnassos, Radio City of Thessaloniki, Nicosia & Lemesos International Festivals in Cyprus, and Half Note Jazz Club in Athens. In summer 2023, album recording Stavros Lantsias Quartet \u201cMy Ennio Morricone\u201d was completed with the permission of Morricone\u2019s family.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Stavros Lantsias studied in Berklee College of Music in Boston and has collaborated with numerous renowned Greek artists such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, Elli Paspala, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Orfeas Peridis, Eleni Karaindrou, Nikos Ksidakis and many more. He presented his compositions for the first time with the band \u201cHuman Touch\u201d, which he created with acclaimed musicians Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and David Lynch. His personal discography includes albums \u201cEpistrofi\u201d (\u201cReturn\u201d), \u201cTo Taksidi Mias Notas\u201d (\u201cA Note\u2019s Journey\u201d), \u201cImerologio Oniron\u201d (\u201cDreams\u2019 Diary\u201d) and “Stavros Lantsias Trio Live at St. Paul\u2019s Anglican Church, Athens\u201d.<\/div>\n

Stavros Lantsias was recently awarded \u201cMan of The Year Cyprus 2023\u201d in the Creativity-Culture category, by the Bank of Cyprus and Kathimerini newspaper.<\/div>\n
