‘Restart’
A unique concert in the International Andros Festival

During a rehearsal, spontaneously, I came up with the idea of calling this year’s programme ‘Restart’. I have done several restarts in the past. However, in this strange winter that is coming, I felt the need not only to turn the page but also to write a new book with new songs, new partners, new sound. Paradoxically, thirst increases instead of wearing off. Perhaps this is due to the fact that we all try to find an antidote in this toxic environment where we have been living in the past years.
The Kind Bums is my new band. All musicians are wanderers, bums deep down. In the streets, some become tough because of hardships and turn to cynicism. However, some others persist in remaining sensitive and childlike day-dreamers. Those are the ones I always seek, the ones I want to be my companions. I have discovered again some new, talented musicians and I am happy about it. Rehearsals are like a playground; I enjoy every new idea, every new sound, and I can’t wait to share our kind bumming with you.
