“Amorosa” ensembleof traditional musical instruments
The Women’s Association of Andros and the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Siros will give a 20-minute Greek folk dance performance with traditional Greek costumes.
At the open-air theatre there will be a buffet with local traditional treats.
Behind the speakers there will be the two bannersof revolt, which Theofilos Kairis is said to have raised on May 8, 1821.

2ndevent: “Burningthe Kanaria boat”

A procession with the two banners of the Greek revolution will start from the open-air theatre, with people wearing traditional Greek costumes and music by the “Amorosa” ensemble of traditional musical instruments.
The procession will make three symbolic stopsat Girokomio square, Theofilos Kairis square and Agios Georgios square, and it will conclude at the Afanis Naftis square.
The two banners, accompanied by men wearing Greek folk breeches, will be raised on the masts of the Kanaria boat, which will be moored at the port of Afanis Naftis and will begin to slowly go around the castle.
The rest of the procession will be at the square, where the Women’s Association of Andros and the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Siros will give a Greek folk dance performance with music by the “Amorosa” ensemble.
The dance performance and the song “Tou Birikou tin Kanaria” will be followed by a firework show.
