On Thursday August 18, 2022, at the Andros open-air theatre, Maria D. Euthymiou, Professor of History at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, will give a talk on the subject of “Persisting through time. The strengths of Hellenism during the 3,500 years of its recorded history.” In this talk, Dr Euthymiou will analyse the facts that helped Greeks win their Revolution against the Ottoman Empire and fruitfully move forward throughout the two hundred years that followed the Revolution; facts that, in any case, have accompanied Hellenism throughout the 3,500 years of its recorded history.
